(b) Provision to be made for salaries whilst in
Hong Kong at estimated cost at the rate of £1,200 and £900 a year for Engineer and Assistant respectively.
The above estimates, in so far as they relate to the cost of passages and salaries while in Hong Kong, are based on costs in 1939 and would necessarily have to be subject to revision to meet increased costs and such revision would have to be according to mutual agreement.
The contract will have to be subject to confirmation from Messrs. Siemens Brothers that the equipment will be complete and ready for shipment by mid-July 1946.
We agree to the terms of payment, namely:- Items 1 and 2(a) payment as and when the whole of the equipment is advised ready for shipment. Item 3(a) 50% on men leaving Hong Kong, (b) payment to be from time to time as may be mutually agreed.
We request you to obtain from Messrs. Siemens Brothers the approximate cost of storage per month should we be unable to ship equipment immediately it is ready.
